I recently had the 'big' birthday, before the 'big' birthday - yes, I was 59 in February and for some strange reason, it has made me completely want to reassess my life. I wouldn't say that I necessarily 'feel' my age (whatever that may mean!) but I am certainly more reflective right now than I can ever remember feeling. Am I alone, I wonder? Age has never bothered me before - in fact, surviving breast cancer at 50 made me want to embrace my birthdays, which I have. Knowing that 60 is around the corner is somehow different and of course, I am going to embrace reaching such a milestone birthday after my experience - let's face it, we all know people who aren't so lucky - but I am also going to draft myself an achievable 'bucket list'.
First on my list is a day trip to Paris (my favourite place in the whole wide world) travelling by Eurostar and packing as much into 10 hours as I can!
