One Month In

As we come to the end of the first month of 2024, take time to reflect on how this year has started for you. By now, many of us will have forgotten about the resolutions we thought about making and instead, we’re managing day by day in the dark early mornings and the shorter days.

Spring is round the corner bringing daffodils, warmer days and longer evenings. Reflect on your goals like those bulbs and seeds being planted ready to flower and grow later on. Think about what you need to put in place for your goals and dreams to come to fruition.

If you’re stuck or feeling down:

Check on your health - are you being kind to yourself physically and mentally? Are you getting out when you can to breathe in the fresh air and see the environment around you? A fresh approach to your diet can help your physical and mental health.

What’s your ‘why’? - sometimes just managing the day to day is limiting. What are your personal and professional goals and what is stopping you from achieving them?

Lacking in support or resources - if you’re feeling lonely or worrying about your finances you may find it helpful to turn to others for support. Just thinking about accepting support from people around you can make you feel better even if you don’t actually do it.

Making the changes - sometimes resisting change through fear of the unknown or a lack of ability to step out of your comfort zone can leave you stuck. Staying in a job or a relationship that makes you unhappy far more than it gives you joy can be limiting and depressing. If you’re spending energy fighting what’s new, you may have a difficult time in moving forward.
